For this editorial, I designed a custom facepiece made of hair to complement the set design and highlight the red accent that ran throughout the story. The piece had to feel sculptural yet organic, integrating with the lighting and wardrobe without overpowering the image. Working closely with the photographer and stylist, I adjusted the structure on set to ensure it maintained shape and became part of the overall makeup design, blending into the visual narrative.
For the remaining looks, we worked with Abeny’s natural braids. My goal was to keep them tight, clean, and perfectly polished so that the focus stayed on the clothes and overall composition.
